Sinead Bovell

Future of Work Expert | A Future with Artificial Intelligence

Tuesday, September 12 | 9:30am - 10:30am

Artificial intelligence will disrupt every aspect of how we live and how we work. From sharing a workforce with smart machines to AI-powered homes and vehicles to biotechnology advances that could challenge the very nature of what it means to be human. The future will look starkly different than the present. While the rise of artificial intelligence should make most people better off over the next decade, it won’t happen automatically. Sinead Bovell explains why we need to tackle bias in algorithmic decision making and address challenging philosophical questions, such as: Is a world without work possible? And why we need to ensure that the technologies of tomorrow get built on the right side of history.

Melissa Agnes
Crisis Management Strategist | The Art of Crisis Communication and Leadership

Thursday, September 14 | 8:30am - 9:30am

The new rules of crisis communication and leadership are counter-intuitive to how we have been societally programmed to view “strong leadership”. By today’s standards, that strong, stoic leadership that has been ingrained within us actually hinders your crisis management success. This means that these old ways are important to unlearn if you want to successfully lead through change, challenge, and crisis in today’s environment.

Melissa Agnes, founder and CEO of Crisis Ready Institute, will unpack the historical societal norms that contribute to hindering your crisis management success and reveal the new rules of crisis management that will enable you to connect emotionally with your stakeholders when it matters most.
