Hotels

There are several RIMS hotels to choose from in Halifax. You must be registered for the RIMS Canada Conference in order to reserve a room in the RIMS block. You will receive the housing link during the registration process and in your confirmation email.

Housing Bureau

Connections Housing is the official housing bureau for the 2022 RIMS Canada Conference. In order to receive discounted room rates, reservations must be made through the housing bureau and not directly through hotels. 

RIMS has negotiated special rates for attendees. Hotel accommodations are available exclusively to registered attendees until August 10, 2022, based upon availability.

Please be advised that RIMS has only one contracted and exclusive housing provider and that is Connections Housing. Other housing providers may try to contact you and offer you a potential room that might not be guaranteed or available. Also, they may require reservations be fully prepaid, are non-refundable and may be subject to steep cancellation and change fees.

Arrive on Time! Although all reservations are guaranteed for late arrival, arrival dates are firm. Failure to check in on the scheduled date of arrival will result in one night’s room and tax penalty, charged by the hotel, to the credit card provided as guarantee and the remainder of the stay will be canceled. A room canceled by the hotel due to the guest’s failure to check in on the scheduled arrival date may leave the guest searching for a hotel room in a city of “sold out” hotels and/or paying much higher rates if a vacancy is found. A reservation will only be considered canceled with a cancellation number from Connections Housing or the hotel. Please do not contact RIMS offices for hotel reservations or cancellations.
